2019 Election Year Information

2019 is a municipal and special service district election year. Various positions within each city and district will be up for election. The cities will publish a notice of open positions the first part of May and candidates may file with their city or district June 3 – June 7.

Each city and district is responsible for running their elections and contracts with Weber County to administer their election, which includes mailing, processing, and tabulating ballots. Our partnership with municipalities and districts allows our citizens to have a consistent, secure, and transparent voting experience every time they vote.

A few important dates this year are:

  • May 1 – Cities and Districts will publish a notices identifying which offices are up for election this year
  • June 3-June 7 – Candidate filing will occur in each city and district office during normal business hours
  • August 13 – A primary election will be held, if necessary, for each city to narrow down field of candidates
  • November 5 – General Election Day
